Berlin Open - Knowledge, Networking, Innovation
In the run-up to LinuxTag 2009 the editorial staff of the popular Open Source Jahrbuch is organizing an interdisciplinary conference on Openness: Berlin Open 2009.
The primary target is to convey the innovation potential of open policies and strategies - totally independent of the areas of expertise. To communicate examples where Openness is a fundamental alternative to traditional approaches, we offer five highly topically tracks:
- Future of Science – from close corporations to 'hard blogging scientists'
- Geoinformation, public domain and common welfare
- Open Source, Life Sciences and Open Access
- Open Source in praxis, science and public administration
- Open Melodies – open aspects of today's music production
The Berlin Open 2009 takes place in the Marshall House on the Berlin fairground on 22th - 23th June 2009 and will be mainly in German.
